No matter the challenges…

Dear Friends,

At ECI we are honored to partner with Congolese-run organizations working towards peace and economic prosperity. Be they farmers producing world-class cash crops, women journalists promoting gender equality, or teachers educating the next generation of Congolese leaders, the energy and commitment they demonstrate is inspiring.

At the same time, the Congolese are facing a number of challenges which threaten to undermine gains made in recent years. The recent detestable violence in Kasai, looming macro-economic concerns, and the protracted political crisis are all causes for concern, vigilance, and action.

I am reminded of these words by Eleanor Roosevelt: “It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.”

Day in and day out, our partners work for peace in Congo. At this critical time let’s do everything we can to support that work. Click here to get involved today!
