Promotion of Youth Basketball

Founded in 2006, Promotion of Youth Basketball provides basketball coaching to thousands of boys and girls in Goma and helps them develop essential values, including tolerance, self-confidence, perseverance, integrity, and leadership.

Promo Jeune Basket also provides health education on issues including HIV/AIDS transmission and offer psychosocial support to kids suffering from trauma, all the while undertaking comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of the children and young adults it works with, closely following the progress of each beneficiary outside of the basketball court.

ECI has partnered with Promotion of Youth Basketball to provide more than 2,000 children with professional sports coaching in basketball, soccer, and athletics.

Through a series of scholarship and catch-up education programs, ECI has also helped more than 15,000 boys and girls receive primary and secondary education.
