As the conflict in eastern Congo continues to escalate, many of our supporters have asked what they can do to get involved—how they can be a part of the solution. One simple way is to follow www.easterncongo.org, stay informed, and share information with your family and friends. Another way is to give money to an organization whose work resonates with you. At www.easterncongo.org/give you can learn about and support our Congolese partners in the region, like HEAL Africa, who are working around the clock in the middle of this crisis to bring medical support and healing to victims of the violence.
Raising awareness about the tremendous need in the region, and increasing funding that supports the communities and citizens of the region are the best ways to drive public policy change, and ultimately foster new opportunities and hope for the people of eastern Congo.
